James & Sarah- Roker Hotel Wedding Photographer.
My idea of the perfect wedding is one that balances laughter and love. One that isn’t completely bonkers but at the same time isn’t too serious. Its a wedding that finds a good balance; it’ll have you crying with laughter and with happiness. James & Sarah’s wedding was one of those weddings, that perfectly found the balance. There were several moments throughout the day where I found myself with tears rolling down my cheeks for both reasons P.S There is a 90% chance I will cry at your wedding. You have been warned.
James & Sarah celebrated their wedding day at The Roker Hotel, which is a cool little venue overlooking the seafront at Sunderland. As I arrived on the morning I didn’t hold much hope for the weather being on my side as it was forecast to rain however after speaking to Sarah she informed me that it WOULD NOT rain on her wedding day and that we’d get down to the seafront for portraits (she must have been using a different weather app to me). Needless to say it absolutely poured down but Sarah was a trooper and we made it down to seafront to capture some portraits in front of probably the coolest graffiti backdrop I’ve ever shot against.
As I stated before this was a wedding full of emotion whether it was me and bridal party crying with laughter at a joke regarding a pot of jam (that sounds way ruder than it was, I promise it was innocent) or guests welling up during Sarah’s Dad’s speech this was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish.
A massive thank you to everyone involved who made me feel so welcome!
