2023-Year In Review~

And in the blink of an eye another year is done, complete, finished, the end! For me 2023 was a bit of a slower year. After the whirlwind that was 2022 I decided to limit the amount of weddings I did and spread them out a bit more than I had the year before. This was much needed as whilst I absolutely loved 2022 I was completely drained by the end of it. Whereas this year I was able to spend more time with my nearest and dearest whilst still getting to do the work I love.

From a wedding point of view this year was amazing, I got to return to some of my favourite venues whilst also adding some new ones to the list. I met incredible couples and there are moments from 2023 that I will never forget. One thing that made 2023 just a little more special was getting to photograph so many of my friends weddings. This was a massive privilege and made those weddings very special to me!

2023 was definitely the wettest year I’ve ever had for shooting but all my couples who ended up with rain on their wedding day were troopers and certainly didn’t let it stop them having the time of their lives!

I mention every year in these blogs about my support team and how thankful I am to have them, but this year I couldn’t have done it without them. So a big thank you to El, Mum & Dad, you kept me sane, stress free and put a smile on my face when I needed it!

So what’s coming in 2024? Well this is my 9th year as a Creative Wedding Photographer and looking over the bookings for the year it’s looking like another belter with a bit of free time at the end of the year to put something special together for the big 10 year anniversary!
