Eden Barn Wedding ~ Anna & Richie

If your idea of the perfect wedding is a super chilled, boho inspired party in a gorgeous rustic barn in the Cumbrian countryside and you’re dying for some inspiration then look no further than Anna & Richie’s wedding at the stunning Eden Barn. If I had to write a list of my favourite features at a wedding, this pretty much ticks every box. I’m talking live music, an amazing wedding host, a gorgeous cake and freshly made pizza just to top it all off. Oh and let’s not forget an awesome couple and the best bunch of guests ever!

When I first met Richie & Anna, I was so captivated by both of their enthusiasm towards the big day and making it a celebration of them as a couple, bringing together their closest family and friends. It was to be a relaxed day with plenty going on to keep everyone entertained and enjoying themselves.

When the big day arrived, bridal prep was held over at The Inn at Brough, not far from the venue; Eden Barn. The morning was super chilled with plenty of room for everyone to get ready and for me to move around without getting in the way. It was great to meet Anna’s bridesmaids who set the fun tone for the rest of the day.

Once everyone was ready we all piled onto a vintage bus and headed to Eden Barn, whilst having a good old sing along! As awesome as vintage buses are to look at the suspension in them isn’t amazing and capturing people on a moving bus was harder than expected, being thrown all over the place. But needless to say Anna, her bridesmaids and her Dad arrived in style.

Eden Barn allows you to get married either outside or in the main barn in front of wall adorned with fairy lights which just looks magical. Anna & Richie opted for an indoor ceremony with Anna’s Dad walking her down the aisle after the bridesmaids. Once the ceremony was over and the bar was open, guests were serenaded by the wonderful Somethin’ Blue, who crooned away whilst guests mingled.

The open layout of Eden Barn, means that nobody is cramped into one space! Anna & Richie had given the venue some boho style using embroiled hessian and used spirit bottles for centrepieces packed with floral arrangements. Each table was named after either a place they had lived or that was special to them as a couple and came with a unique illustration for each.

When the evening came, guests were entertained by Steven Heath & Pat Mulligan who provided live music and some favourite tracks throughout the night. Anna & Richie, along with all their family and friends danced the night away only taking a short break when the boys from Pizza Social turned up! I was lucky enough to bag myself a few slices and I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

Anna & Ritchie set out to have a day that celebrated their love and the long journey they had been on as a couple. They wanted to party with their nearest and dearest and have a damn good time whilst doing so! And they nailed it. From the start of the day until my last slice of pizza this was such a good day and I am so thrilled that I got to capture every moment! Eden Barn is a venue that essentially gives you a blank canvas and hands you a paintbrush to do what you want, to make it your own. It’s a wedding photographer’s dream and always a delight to shoot at.
