Alternative Wedding Photography ~ Grace & Jonny
“As someone who feels massively anxious with having their photo taken, Pete listened to my worries and put me at ease, we are totally over the moon with our photographs!”
Grace & Jonny’s rock n’ roll bonanza was the epitome of the perfect D.I.Y wedding and if there was ever a wedding which was played on a bride and grooms rules, it was this. Grace & Jonny wanted their day to be less focused on them and more on being able to celebrate with their closest friends and family. Both Grace & Jonny ooze vintage style and this was no different on their wedding day. They rocked up in a retro VW camper van; Grace in a stunning polka dot dress and Jonny in sharp blue suit both accompanied by a pair of shades. After grabbing a bottle of fizz from their makeshift pop up bar they tied the knot in a brief ceremony at the Head Of Steam Railway Station in Darlington to add to their “northern vintage” theme before hoping back in the VW to party with their friends and family at a local pub. They traded the three course meals for parmo’s and burgers and even made DIY dance floor out of tape so that when the time came they could do the twist into the early hours.
What I admire about these two is that they had the wedding day they wanted with the people they wanted. They didn’t feel the need to invite every distant relative or to spend for spendings sake. They did it on their terms and created a truly unique day focused on everything that was important to them. And what’s more Rock N Roll than that!
