Runa Farm Wedding Photography ~ Amy & Rob

This one is special.

When I was 7 or 8 I somehow ended up getting the opportunity to lay a memorial wreath at the local hospital with another student from my school, that student was Rob. Flash forward more than 20 years and I’m stood at the end of the aisle with him as we wait for his best friend in the world to come and join him so they can tie the knot.

Rob & Amy got married at Runa Farm, which is a relatively new venue in the North East set in a stunning open barn. It’s super moody and atmospheric whist still being very stylish and chic, if that sounds like a bit of you then Runa Farm might be the perfect place!

This was the first wedding I’ve shot where I knew the bulk of the guests, it was also the first wedding where I’ve been a groomsman! Arriving at bridal preparations was very laid back, again, as I knew everyone involved. Runa Farm offers a lovely preparation area with tonnes of space and natural light which is right up my street. I love the big sofa in the main living area where the bridal party could watch each other have their hair and make up done. A very nice touch.

The ceremony area is equally as stunning with a huge staircase leading down to the aisle. Hearing two friends you’ve known for years trade vows is something incredibly special and I feel very privileged to have been able to capture those moments. If I said I had dry eyes by the end of it, I’d be lying.

Runa Farm has some stunning backdrops for photos, getting soaked for a champagne spray shot was totally worth it! Rob & Amy’s dog, Juno, was always a big part of their day and often stole the show when it came to photos.

After speeches it was time to party, and to say my group of friends have got the moves would be a lie, but we had fun until the early hours of the morning.

On a whole this was a very special day and Runa Farm is a spectacular venue that I cannot wait to be back at again this year!

Here’s a few of my favourite frames.
